Definition:

Report classify and describe the phenomenon of our environment.  We use them when we talk about the whole class of things e.g.! Bikes (definition, parts, quality, function, etc) by contrast a description only talks about specific. e.g. “Bike”.  A description describe a particular person, place or thing.

Social Function :

To describe the way things are with reference to range of natural, man made and social Phenomena in our environment.

Significant Lexicogramatical Features :

1. Focus on generic Participant
2. Use of relational processes to state what is and that which it is.
3. Use mainly of Simple Present Tense

Yogyakarta

            Yogyakarta Hadiningrat or more familiar as Jogja is one of famous province in Indonesia.  It has four regencies, and lead by a king named Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono X.  The capital city of Yogyakarta is Yogyakarta.  The first inhabitants to live in Jogja were javanese people, after that people came from all over Indonesia provinces.

            The main language which is use in Jogja daily activity is Java language, besides that the people also use Bahasa even English to foreigner.  Jogja citizen are very kind and friendly to every people, it stand out from their smile when meet other people.  This province also well known as Education City because there are many University here such as : UGM, UII, Kalijaga University, and so forth.  In this province not only known as education city but also known as City of Culture because in here the custom still hold by the citizen.  In Jogja there are many special products which can bought as a souvenir such as : batik, silver, unique miniature, unique key chain, Jogja special T-shirt, and so forth.  In this city not only has special products but also has special foods which are delicious to eat such as : gudeg, nasi kucing, gudangan, and so forth.  Besides special foods it also has special snacks like : bakpia pathok, yangko, wingko babat, kulit ayam chips, and so forth.  Some famous tourism places here are Prambanan Temple, Yogyakarta palace, Gebira loka Zoo, Kaliurang, Kaliadem, Merapi Mountain, Parangtritis beach, Selarong cave, Jogja Kembali museum, alun-alun kidul, Taman Sari, and Malioboro street.

            In short Yogyakarta Hadinigrat is big province that has four regencies, and lead by a king.  Jogja has many special product which can bought as a souvenir, has many special delicious foods, and also has special yummy snacks.  In Jogja there are many famous and beautiful tourism places to visit. It mean that all side of Jogja is beautiful.
